Hi, I’m Kyra!
I know what it feels like to struggle with your health.
My passion for nutrition and fitness isn't something I simply chose as a career. It's something I lived.
At 11 years old, I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. From a young age, I learned that taking care of your health can feel overwhelming, frustrating, and sometimes completely unfair.
As I got older, I experienced my own seasons of significant health challenges. At one point, my health had declined so much that I was facing the possibility of going on disability. I felt like my body was working against me, and I knew I couldn't continue down the same path.
So I decided to fight for my health.
I picked myself up by the bootstraps, started making changes, and committed to learning everything I could about nutrition, movement, and taking care of my body. It wasn't an overnight transformation, and it certainly wasn't accomplished through a quick fix or the latest health trend. It was a process of learning, changing my habits, becoming stronger, and taking ownership of my health one step at a time.
That experience changed the direction of my life.
From personal experience to a lifelong passion
I went back to school and turned my personal passion for health into my profession.
I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition and became a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and Licensed Dietitian (LD). I also became a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) because I believe nutrition and fitness are incredibly powerful when they work together.
I've spent almost a decade working in the nutrition and fitness field, continuing to learn, grow, and help people navigate their own health journeys.
But the degrees and credentials are only part of why I do what I do.
I genuinely love helping people feel better, become stronger, and understand their bodies.
No crazy diets. No fads. No starting over every Monday.
My approach is simple: health should fit into your life—not take over your life.
I don't believe you need to follow an extreme diet, eliminate entire food groups, spend hours in the gym, or constantly chase the newest health trend to make meaningful progress.
I believe in learning how to eat well without being afraid of food.
I believe in strength training to build a capable, resilient body.
I believe in finding realistic habits that you can actually maintain.
And I believe that you shouldn't have to completely change who you are to become healthier. However, the process can completely transform you as a person - inside and out.
My goal is to take the confusion out of nutrition and fitness and give you practical, evidence-based strategies that make sense for your body, your goals, and your life.
Why I do this
I know what it's like to feel frustrated with your health.
I know what it's like to wonder if things will ever get better.
And I know how empowering it can be when you finally start understanding your body and realize that you can make changes that improve the way you feel and live.
That is why this work is so much more than a career to me.
Helping people become healthier, stronger, and more confident in their ability to take care of themselves is my truest passion.
Whether you're looking for nutrition guidance, personalized fitness support, help navigating a health goal, or simply someone who can help you cut through all of the conflicting information out there, I'm here to help you build a healthier lifestyle that is realistic, sustainable, and uniquely yours.
You don't need another quick fix.
You need a plan you can actually live with.
Let's build that together.
